Not a Yoga Retreat: What These Brave Women Are Really Saying Yes To
Because sometimes the most radical act is to pack a bag and say yes to yourself
When I picture the women gathering with me in Zakynthos this September, I don’t see tourists. I see explorers—each one pushing past comfort zones, choosing something that once felt out of reach.
One is still waiting for her passport to be renewed.
Two have never traveled solo, let alone crossed the Atlantic.
One, at 69, has never left the country without her partner.
A few are coming with a friend. A few are coming solo.
Some have never even considered a trip like this—until now.
They range in age from their 50s to almost 70 years old. Their paths are different, but they’re united by one powerful thing:
They’re saying yes.
Yes to joy.
Yes to curiosity.
Yes to something just for them.
And no—it’s not a yoga retreat.
One woman told me she wasn’t coming because she “doesn’t like yoga.”
And I get it. But that’s like skipping a beautiful dinner party because you’re not sure about the appetizer.
The yoga on this trip is gentle, optional, and just one of many ways we start the day. The real magic happens elsewhere: in laughter around the dinner table, in quiet moments of reflection, in trying something new, and in deep evening conversations. In sea swims, spontaneous singing, and long walks on ancient ground.
This retreat is about creativity, connection, play, and possibility.
It’s a chance to rewrite the story of what midlife (and beyond) can look like.
There are a few spots left. If your heart is whispering yes, I hope you’ll answer.

It’s said that growth happens outside the comfort zone…. I’ll test this out by flying solo to Greece for the retreat!
